Every Safari Kilimanjaro combo includes at least two of Tanzania's top safari parks: the Serengeti (for the Great Migration and Big Five), Ngorongoro Crater (UNESCO caldera with densest wildlife), Tarangire (famous for elephant herds), and Lake Manyara (flamingos and tree-climbing lions). Your exact itinerary is built around your preferences and available time.

How many days do I need for a safari after Kilimanjaro?

A minimum of 2 full days is recommended — typically 1 day for Ngorongoro Crater and 1 day for Tarangire or Lake Manyara. For the full Serengeti experience during the Great Migration (July–September), we recommend 3–5 days. All Safari Kilimanjaro packages include at least 2 safari days, with options to extend.

What wildlife can I see on a Tanzania safari?

Is a safari safe for someone who just climbed Kilimanjaro?

Yes — the safari is the ideal recovery activity after your Kilimanjaro climb. Game drives are done from a 4x4 vehicle with a pop-top roof, so there is no physical exertion required. Most clients find the game drives a relaxing contrast to the mountain. We always schedule a rest day in Arusha between the climb and safari.
