Airport Transfer to Arusha
Your airport transfer from JRO to Arusha is included in every Safari Kilimanjaro package. We track your flight and adjust pickup time if your flight is delayed. The drive takes 60–90 minutes through Tanzania's highlands, offering your first views of Mount Meru and the surrounding coffee farms.
We meet you in the arrivals hall — not outside. Our driver carries a name board, assists with luggage, and handles any airport formalities. If you arrive late at night, we have 24-hour transfer availability. You will never wait at the airport.
Connecting to Your Safari After the Climb
After summiting Kilimanjaro and descending to Arusha, you do not need to return to JRO for your safari. The Northern Circuit safari parks — Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater — are all reached by road from Arusha. We handle all transport between the climb, your rest day, and your safari departure.
At the end of your safari, we return you to Arusha or directly to JRO for your outbound flight. For international departures, we recommend booking a flight that departs JRO no earlier than midday — this gives you time to finish a morning game drive in Ngorongoro and drive back comfortably.

What is the best time to book flights for a Kilimanjaro + Safari trip?
For the best rates and availability, book international flights 3–5 months before your trip. The Kilimanjaro climbing season (June–October) sees the highest demand — flights fill up and prices rise from March onwards. If you are climbing during the off-season (November–May), you have more flexibility. Never book flights before confirming your climb permit and accommodation — these are the limiting factors, not flights.
