Yes — safari-only is a core part of what we run. Many of our safari clients never set foot on the mountain. The safari operation has been running since 1978, independent of the climbing business. Same team, same guides, same vehicles — just no climb.

How long should a safari-only trip be?

For first-time safari travellers, 5 days is the sweet spot. Three days is enough to do Ngorongoro Crater properly. Seven days lets you add Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Anything beyond seven days is for travellers who want to dig deeper — repeat visitors, photographers, birders.

How much does a safari-only trip cost?

Safari-only packages start from $676 per person for a 3-day Ngorongoro Crater trip. A 5-day northern circuit starts from $1,144 per person. A 7-day northern circuit with luxury tented camps starts from $2,184 per person. All prices include park fees, vehicle, guide, accommodation, and most meals.

Which parks are best for a first safari-only trip?

The northern circuit (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) is the standard recommendation for first-time visitors. The Serengeti gives you the Big Five and the migration (seasonal). Ngorongoro Crater has the highest predator density in Africa, including rhino. Tarangire has the elephant herds.

Without the 7-8 day climb, you can spend every day on safari. Five to seven days is the right length for first-time visitors — long enough to see the migration (seasonal) and the Big Five without feeling rushed.

More flexible calendar

Kilimanjaro climbing seasons are fixed by weather patterns. Safari season is broader — the northern circuit is excellent year-round, and the Great Migration runs from December through March. More calendar options.
